Info for the Week of Nov. 28th through Dec. 2nd

DESIGN STUDIES -Plan Drawings due this week -Quiz 2 on Landscaping Design (most likely Tuesday) -start on Perspective Drawings HEALTH/PHYSED -wrestling for the next 2 weeks with Mr. Couper

Info for the week of Nov. 21st through 25th

 NOTE: Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, Nov. 24th and Friday, Nov. 25th (both virtual through Microsoft Teams). There are no classes on Friday, Nov. 25th due to Parent-Teacher Conferences. MATH -continuing with Transformations: Reflections -Tangrams assignment -Rotations SCIENCE -Bean Project (due this week): need beans, red/green lentils, split peas, rice...depending on what color your animal is -starting with new unit: Evidence and Investigation DESIGN STUDIES -working on Plan Drawings (need to include measurements of each piece, details of what plants you will be using, scale...)

Info for the week of Nov. 14th through 18th

 MATH -new unit: Transformations -Translations lesson + practice (don't forget to use prime symbol when labeling the vertices of the translated object/shape) -Reflections lesson SCIENCE -Leaf booklets are due! (check out the Google Classroom for the rubric) -Human uses of the forests (last lesson of the Trees and Forests Unit) -mini quiz on Food webs and chains and Nutrient Cycle -Unit Test on Trees and Forests on November 17th (Thursday) -- study guides/notes are available on Google Classroom LANDSCAPE DESIGN -Plan drawing: use the available PPT slides on Google Classroom for guidance -if you haven't submitted the Analysis drawing + the answers to the questions, make sure you do that this week! NOTE: Any missed assignments/quizzes/tests you will have a chance to write/make up in the next couple of days to avoid missing material when we have parent-teacher conferences (next Thursday, Nov. 24th and Friday, Nov. 25th)

Week of November 7th through 10th Information

NOTE: There are no classes on Friday, Nov. 11th (Remembrance Day) MATH 6 - Patterns and Equations Final Unit Test on Monday, November 7th -Problem Solving Question: Winter Blues (after the test) -New Unit: Transformations -notes and questions on Translations SCIENCE 6 -Leaf Characteristics Notes and Booklet - Leaf Booklet Project (more info in class) -Quick 'quiz' on Food Chains and Webs + Nutrient Cycle (Tuesday, Nov. 8th) -Last topic of Trees and Forests: Human Uses of Forests - Upcoming test next week: Trees and Forests Unit Final Exam on Nov. 17th DESIGN STUDIES 7 -Landscape Design: Design Theory (Elements and Principles of Design) PPT notes -Plan Drawing (after the PPT info): will be due the following week on Monday, Nov. 14th -Analysis Drawings + Questions are DUE! (If not already handed in, these need to be handed in on Monday, Nov. 7th)
